Project NOBO: A Successful Completion for RTS

Blog-NOBO P

The region around Varel in Jadebusen is ideally suited for the wind industry. It is here that RTS Wind, as a subcontractor for Siemens, has erected and cabled eight 3-MW Wind turbines. The project began at the beginning of this year.

To the delight of all participating parties, the RTS team stuck to their planned time-frame: all eight turbines are standing, and their clean energy supply is already on the grid.

Until Easter the remaining works will be completed at the construction site, and then the NOBO Wind Farm will be handed over to Siemens.

Project leader, Torsten Hartmann (RTS Wind AG) looks back on the experience:

"I would like to place emphasis on the great experience that we have had working together with our British RTS colleagues, who provided us with a number of wind specialists with ‘Siemens experience’.’

As the eighth turbine was erected, all project participants marked the occasion by enjoying a BBQ in the lovely spring weather.

We are already looking forward to the next challenge!
