With such a success of our charity fundraising over Christmas 2017 for the Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day appeal. The whole RTS team has been brainstorming ideas for how we can give back to the community in charitable ways over the upcoming Christmas period.
Kevin McBride, Managing Director at RTS, has close connections to homeless charities in Middlesbrough and presented the idea to the office to stay a little closer to home this year and help the local homeless people living on the streets. On the 5th December the RTS Middlesbrough office, with a collection of supplies & food vouchers, will venture around the town at specific locations to donate items such as sleeping bags, hats, scarfs, gloves & food supplies. The winter months are the most difficult and although we cannot resolve the homeless problems in Middlesbrough, we are hoping that just by giving a small amount will at least create some happiness at Christmas.
We are pleased to say that the Christmas charity work went very well and we managed to catch many local homeless people who were at the time also being fed warm food by another local charity. We managed to hand out all of our donations & hear all of the background stories. See photo’s of our MD Kevin McBride last night meeting everybody. This could definitely become a yearly tradition at RTS!
